Midterm 1

  • When: Wednesday, September 27 8:00-9:15pm

  • Where: BHEE 129 (for both 468 and 573)

  • The exam is open book and open notes.

  • Topics: All topics covered from Week 1 to Week 4

  • Focus on topics covered by PSet 1 and PSet 2

    • There will be some multiple-choice questions about concepts of compilers
    • There will be a review session on Wednesday, September 27
  • The exam will follow the I DON’T KNOW rule: if you do not know the answer to a problem, you can simply write I DON'T KNOW and you will get 20% of the credit for that problem (for knowing you do not know the answer and saving us time for reading junk). The number of points you get in this manner cannot exceed 10 points across the whole exam.

Midterm 2

  • When: Thursday, November 2 8:00-9:15pm

  • Where: BHEE 170 (for 468) and ME 1130 (for 573)

  • The exam is open book and open notes.

  • Topics: All topics covered from Week 5 to Week 9

  • Focus on topics covered by PSet 3 and PSet 4

    • There will be some short answer questions about concepts of optimization
    • There will be a review session on Wednesday, November 1
  • The exam will follow the I DON’T KNOW rule: if you do not know the answer to a problem, you can simply write I DON'T KNOW and you will get 20% of the credit for that problem (for knowing you do not know the answer and saving us time for reading junk). The number of points you get in this manner cannot exceed 10 points across the whole exam.

Final

  • When: Friday, December 15 8:00-10:00am

  • Where: Hiler Thtr (for both 468 and 573)

  • Focus on topics covered by PSet 5 and PSet 6

    • There will be some short answer questions about dataflow analyses
    • There will be a review session on Wednesday, December 6
  • The exam will follow the I DON’T KNOW rule: if you do not know the answer to a problem, you can simply write I DON'T KNOW and you will get 20% of the credit for that problem (for knowing you do not know the answer and saving us time for reading junk). The number of points you get in this manner cannot exceed 10 points across the whole exam.
